Children can participate in mission projects in a variety of ways. Our weekly Sunday School offering goes to support these endeavors and provide supplies for mission related projects that are undertaken by the children as part of their Sunday School curriculum. . In addition to our offerings, the older elementary classes’ curriculum includes service to church and community, such as making Linus Project blankets, shopping for Thanksgiving basket groceries, promoting Trick or Treat for UNICEF, and other projects that give the children hands on experience in helping others.
Several of our mission projects for this year were chosen from the Rainbow Covenant, part of the UMC Northern Illinois Conference missions program.
